ManTag x36 · V1.0
Logging and recording for supported Uniden x36-family scanners.
Connection
USB provides scanner data. Connect the scanner by USB and press CONNECT USB.
LINE IN provides audio. Connect scanner audio output to the PC audio input and press CONNECT LINE IN. Allow Windows audio-input access when requested.
LIVE panel
Shows Favourite List, System, Department and Channel together with frequency, mode, signal, CTCSS/DCS and available DMR information including CC, Slot, TGID and UID.
LOG
Completed calls are written to the LOG. CLEAR LOG clears displayed records but does not reset the trial counter.
Recording
With LINE IN connected, ManTag records detected calls automatically. The green RECORD indicator shows active capture. Stored audio can be played from the LOG.
Dropbox / Audio
Use DROPBOX / AUDIO for Dropbox folder, retention and minimum stored call length.
Playback
Use PLAY, PAUSE, PREV, NEXT, STOP and SPEED controls below the LOG. AUTO PLAY follows the active filter.
Trial and license
The trial allows up to 20 logged calls. Deleting rows or CLEAR LOG does not reset it.
A ManTag x36 license is bound to the scanner ESN, not to one Windows PC. Annual licenses are supported. Activation physically verifies the scanner and may briefly beep/change screen. Physical ESN verification is repeated periodically.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| No scanner data | USB cable and scanner USB connection, then reconnect USB. |
| No recording | CONNECT LINE IN, Windows audio-input permission, cable and input level. |
| LOG works but audio is empty | USB data works; check the separate LINE IN path. |
| Dropbox does not update | Check Dropbox path and local Dropbox client. |

Start
Run START.bat. ManTag opens in your default web browser. USB provides scanner data; the local ManTag service stores LINE IN recordings and handles Dropbox synchronization.
